Something's Gotta Change - The Visual

Her Story

NAHLI has been a creative her whole life. A young ballerina training at Italia Conti, she achieved distinction through to Grade 8 ballet. This didn't continue to satisfy her, so she threw herself into perfumery where she became a complex scents laboratory assistant at the largest perfumery house in the world. Feeling still like she hadn't found her calling, she moved into music where she found a love like never before. She started in a girl band in her early years and created music with the likes of Stormzy, Sneakbo & Ghetts. Over a period of years, she felt as though going solo would fit her better, she pushed herself into the limelight where she has amassed over 50,000 followers and toured the world with SIGMA. Feeling like she never fit into a box, she decided to make her own rules and align herself exactly as she always envisioned herself to be. She became an artist in every right. Pushing herself further, she stepped into the art world and creates pieces owned by high end celebrities and continues to grow as a tremendous pace. Pushing forward again, NAHLI recently added movements for women through her music and has shared a touching documentary which can be found on her YouTube about the fight against sexual assault. She's extremely open about sexuality and gently pushes an element of freedom. A performer, an activist, a creator of art. There's no one out there quite like NAHLI.

NAHLI is extremely passionate about pushing empowerment and that women can live freely and independently. Endearingly honest and exceptionally driven, NAHLI's voice is poetic, bold and necessary. Not only a testament to her unique raw talent and impressive approach to music, NAHLI’s musicianship places her firmly at the helm of a movement for change, transforming her into a spokesperson and activist, taking a stand, and demanding that “Something’s Gotta Change.” This plays beautifully into the hands of her artwork as she celebrates people with extreme levels of passion. Tracking the genesis of the anthem’s creation, NAHLI explains, 'The world is starting to allow triggering messages in film and TV series, more and more every day. We’re seeing more understanding of LGBTQIA+. We’re seeing more representation of race and colour. We’re broadening our minds. We’re no longer brushing topics like rape and racism and discrimination under the rug. The media is no longer turning their backs on women claiming to be a “victim” or for “asking for it” or “she wore provocative clothing”. NOW is the time for change. I want people to feel empowered by this track. You’re not alone anymore. This is a movement. This is my absolute proudest work.’
